GP Referrals
We accept referrals from General Practitioners (GP) and other health professionals ONLY. Referrals should be made using the e-Referral Service. We recommend General Practitioners to use the Advice and Guidance electronic system before referral, this is monitored daily by our consultants. Advice and Guidance and e-Referrals should be directed to the specific sites, Broadgreen or Aintree.
Tertiary referrals
We accept referrals from other hospitals via letter or fax.
Referrals are triaged daily by our consultants and prioritised based on clinical need and information in the referral.
We aim to see patients with early arthritis referrals within three weeks from referral. Urgent referrals will be seen within six weeks, sooner for those deemed more serious. If your condition worsens whilst waiting for an appointment, please contact your GP who can discuss your care with our team.
