Oral Medicine

Our Oral Medicine team support and treat patients with a range of oral conditions including:

• Oral mucosal diseases including oral ulceration, lichen planus, pemphigus and pemphigoid
• Salivary gland diseases including dry mouth and Sjogren’s syndrome
• Orofacial pain. 

We work collaboratively with a range of medical teams and other health professionals, such as psychiatrists, restorative dentists, maxillofacial surgeons, ophthalmologists, rheumatologists, and dermatologists to devise treatment plans and support those with long term conditions related to oral issues.

We receive referrals for patients throughout Cheshire and Merseyside and accept tertiary referrals from other parts of the North West and the Isle of Man.

We also participate in a number of research studies.
