Understanding your pension changes
This course is designed to provide NHS employees with an overview of the key pension changes resulting from the public sector age discrimination ruling (sometimes referred to as the McCloud remedy). The course is directed at anyone who joined the NHS Pension Scheme on or before 31 March 2012 and were a member on or after 1 April 2015 as if so, you are likely to be affected by the McCloud Judgement.

The LUHFT PEF team are delighted to announce the launch of the ‘Learning Link’. This web-based system enables healthcare students on placement at LUHFT to browse available spoke and short visit opportunities with specialist teams and apply directly to spend time with different teams. End of Life Care is a key domain for CQC and the Palliative Care Education Team want to support our colleagues on the wards providing care to patients at the end of life.
We are offering teaching sessions at all clinical areas across LUFHT to help colleagues become more familiar and confident in utilising the correct documentation when caring for patients at the end of life.

Courses will be held on all three hospital sites, you can attend a course on any site as they are not site specific.
Working safely - this course is a one-day course available to all staff from all departments, it will introduce you to defining hazard and risk, identifying common hazards and improving safety performance. Successful delegates will receive an IOSH working safely certificate which is nationally recognised.
Managing safely - this course is a three-day course spread over a three week period, available to managers and supervisors designed to give you the knowledge and tools to tackle the health and safety issues you are responsible for. Successful delegates will receive an IOSH managing safely certificate which is nationally recognised.
