Accessing PortaCount Machines
Machines are located in the Health and Safety Hub on the Aintree site and in the Estates Office on the Royal site.
Machines can be collected Monday to Friday between 8am-4pm.
Health and Safety will not provide any laptops,testing equipment i.e masks or alcohol or any connections leads.
Missing or damaged parts will be recharged to your ward or department.
Face Fit Test FAQS
A face fit test is a simple test which checks whether a person's mask fits their face shape and ensures the protective mask you wear is suitable for your face profile in order to maximise protection against harmful airborne substances. It is also a legal requirement.
Tests are conducted by Fit Testers who are based locally. Face fit testing is not carried out by the Health and Safety Department.
These individuals are required to undertake training with a member of the Health and Safety Team
Fit Testers are located across the Trust, every ward and department that utilise tight-fitting respirators (clinical and non-clinical) should have at least one Fit Tester This includes but is not limited to, all areas where patients are admitted, assessed or receive treatment.
FFP1, FFP2 or (N95), FFP3 Disposable & Reusable Respirators.
