In undertaking the merger of The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospitals and Aintree University Hospital to establish Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a Full Business case was created. 

This document was required by regulators to inform their assessment of our merger and gives detail on the case that was made for our two trusts to come together and the steps taken to achieve that.

We are sharing the summary as it describes elements of our integration plan and some of the principles that will apply.

This information was shared with local stakeholders to promote our ambitions around how we can deliver changes collaboratively to help improve the health of the local population.
